La belle découverte de la semaine : les meubles Greycork, inspirés et inspirants. Une collection simple, sobre, avec juste ce qu’il faut pour aménager sa maison avec goût.
Originaire de Providence, la petite équipe de créateurs a travaillé d’arrache-pied pour créer une marque faite d’essentiels, de belles matières, facile à transporter / assembler, et au plus proche de ses consommateurs.
J’adore et tente d’embrasser leur vision : « Inspire one another to keep working with our hands.«
L’idée géniale : le Home Try-Out Kit, un carnet d’échantillons permettant de sentir la texture du bois, apprécier la couleur du tissu, et pré-visualiser chaque meuble aux quatre coins de la maison, grâce à des impressions photos sur calque transparent. Le top, c’est que c’est gratuit.
Alors certes, les prix sont plus élevés que chez IKEA … par contre plusieurs bons points, comme la livraison offerte (disponible uniquement aux USA pour l’instant …), le coté anti-mass production, et la qualité semble au rendez-vous.
Merci, mais la table basse Lack toute pétée au bout de trois mois un exemple parmi d’autres, c’est terminé pour moi.

Genius idea : the Home Try-Out Kit, with which you can feel the texture of the wood, test the fabric’s softness, and see how a greycork furniture looks in this or that corner of the house, before spending a dollar (it’s free!).
ure, the prices are higher than at IKEA … other good points are going for Greycork, such as free delivery (only available in the US for now …), their anti-mass production challenge, and the apparent quality and durability of the products. I can’t wait to say goodbye to my Lack coffe table, all stained and chipped after only three months. Sight.
